A vintage set of (8) ceramic figurines inspired by the Disney Studios enduring animated classic, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (1937). Featuring Snow and her adorable Dwarf companions, the set of figurines were created by American Ceramists, Hagen Renaker. Hagen Renaker was licensed to produce Disney ceramics for only a short time during the late 1950s and according to Walt Disney, they produced "the finest three-dimensional reproductions of (the animated) drawings that he ever saw." For this set, Snow White was designed by Don Winton, and the dwarfs were designed by Nell Bortells. Snow White has a large collar, and is wearing a pink bow. Other variations of this set with no color and a red bow were also made. Known for their miniature figurines, the company made a handful of larger pieces including this rare set. Snow White measures 3"x3.5" and 5.75" tall, and the dwarfs measure 3.5" at the tallest and 2.25" at the widest. The figurines are in very good condition with imperfections in the glaze including crazing and some production inconsistencies in the paint.
